Check out a day in Katy’s movement-based lifestyle!

In this episode we discuss how Katy came to develop the concept of nutritious movement by looking at it through the lens of ecology and discovering that there is so much more involved when it comes to movement.  Our environment is a factor.

Role modeling as a way of showing others how to integrate change.  She shares how she's been able to demonstrate her philosophy on movement to others.

Finding your personal mission statement and defining your own personal value system which is different than the values you hold within your family and community. They are dynamic and this has helped Katy re-connect with her own intuition.

What I learned from this episode...

  • Role modeling vs. being an expert and what we hand down to other generations; our truths, intuition and expert culture.

  • The difference between multitasking and stacking - how one task leads to another thus making integration much smoother.

  • The Expert vs. the role model - what's the difference

  • Developing the skills through your personal mission statement to tap into and connect with your intuition.

  • How to make life less stressful and more joyful by integrating and stacking nature based activities.

  • How making things more complex has impacted our environment and health from an ecological standpoint. Looking at what we can learn from permaculture.

  • Getting back to what's most important by being uncomfortable or pushing the limits of your comfort zone from time to time.
